Staff of Audit Commission attended
The 6th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Audit Conference 2019

At the invitation of the Audit Office of the Guangdong Province, Mr John Chu, Director of Audit and four officers (Francis Po, Ms Jeannie Chu, Alfred Wong and Gary Ng) of Audit Commission attended the "The 6th Guangdong-Hong Kong–Macao Audit Conference 2019" at Huizhou, Guangdong Province from 6 to 8 November 2019.

Some 120 delegates from the National Audit Office of the People's Republic of China, the Audit Office of the Guangdong Province, the Commission of Audit of Macao Special Administrative Region, audit bureaux of 21 municipalities of the Guangdong Province and our Commission participated in the Conference.  Mr Liu Ji (Mayor of Huizhou), Mr Lu Rong Chun (Director of the Audit Office of Guangdong Province), our Director and Mr Ho Veng On (Commissioner of Audit of Macao Special Administrative Region) each delivered an opening speech for the Conference.

The theme of the Conference is “Audit of issues related to people’s livelihood in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”.  Our delegation presented a paper entitled “A brief discussion on how audit can contribute to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”.  The Conference provided a very good opportunity for the delegates to exchange views and ideas on the theme of the Conference.  After the Conference, the Hong Kong and Macao delegations paid a visit to the Central Business District of Huizhou and were briefed by the local officials about the latest developments of the city.
