Visit by the Secretary for Financial Services
and the Treasury
On 9 December 2021, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Christopher Hui, visited the Audit Commission.
Accompanied by the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr Joseph Chan, and Deputy Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (Treasury), Mr Howard Lee, Mr Hui met with the Director of Audit, Mr John Chu, directorate staff and staff representatives of the Auditor and Examiner grades to receive an update on the Commission's work in conducting regularity audits and value for money audits.

After the meeting, Mr Hui visited the staff of the Value for Money Audit Division 2 to better understand their work in conducting value for money audits. He then proceeded to the Regularity Audit Division, where Mr Hui was briefed on the division's work in conducting regularity audits.

Mr Hui remarked that auditing work is meticulous and complicated, and praised the colleagues’ high level of professionalism amid the challenges. Mr Hui also expressed deep appreciation to our staff for steadfastly and diligently attending to duties during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 epidemic. Before concluding the visit, Mr Hui took a group photo with our staff, and appeal to those who are registered electors to vote in the geographical constituency and relevant functional constituency in the upcoming Legislative Council General Election to be held on 19 December 2021.
