Audit Commission won a number of awards in
AC Fun Run 2022

    The Audit Commission (Audit) participated and performed well in AC Fun Run 2022 held in December 2022, bagging a number of awards.

    The event, which ran from 10 to 16 December 2022, was co-organised by three accountancy organisations, namely the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors, with an aim to encourage their members and the public to face the epidemic with an optimistic attitude and to adopt a healthy lifestyle.  Like CPA Virtual Run 2021 (see https://www.aud.gov.hk/eng/new/new_202106run.htm), AC Fun Run 2022 was held in a virtual form, in which participants could take the running challenges whenever and wherever suited them and submit the running record via an online platform.  The meaningful event allowed participants to enjoy the fun of running without restrictions of location and time, while at the same time raising money for charity.  According to the Organisers, there were over 260 participants from Hong Kong and overseas.

    A number of Audit staff took part in the event.  Embracing the Audit’s spirit of “Striving for Excellence”, they spared no effort in taking up the challenges and achieved encouraging results.  Tony YEUNG and Ricky WONG won the championship of the 5-km Team of Two race, while Toby CHEUNG and Gary NG were the first runners-up in the same category.

At the invitation of the Organisers, Audit also participated in the 2-km Chairman Run, in which runners nominated by supporting organisations and sponsors competed for the glory.  Nominated by Prof. Nelson LAM, the Director of Audit, Allan WONG represented the department in the race and brought home the championship.

Also shining in the race were Gary NG and his son, who came second in the 2-km Family Run and won the Funniest Costume Award.

The Organisers presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Audit to thank its participation and support in AC Fun Run 2022
