Audit staff honoured with the Secretary
for the Civil Service's Commendation Award 2024
The Audit Commission (Audit) is pleased to share that Miss Bobo Chiu, Chief Examiner of Audit, is among the hundred outstanding civil servants honoured with the Secretary for the Civil Service (SCS)'s Commendation Award 2024. Miss Chiu was very delighted to be lauded and expressed gratitude to Audit for its recognition and commendation of her performance. She vowed that she would, as always, spare no effort in contributing to the society as part of the civil service team.
The SCS’s Commendation Award Scheme was introduced in 2004 to commend civil servants who have achieved outstanding work performance continuously for five years or above by the SCS on behalf of the Government. On the award presentation ceremony, Mrs Ingrid Yeung, the SCS, praised the awardees for setting exemplary standards to their fellow civil servants with their remarkable performance at work, staunch support to their departments and excellent services to the public.
Prof. Nelson Lam, Director of Audit, attended the award presentation ceremony to show his support and joy for the commended colleague. He thanked his staff for their dedication to duty and professionalism in providing independent and high quality auditing service to public sector bodies so as to help them enhance their performance and accountability, and all the while upholding the civil service values of being “people-oriented” and “responsible”. He said that all his colleagues at Audit would continue to adhere to the Civil Service Code in safeguarding law and order, committing to service reform, embracing a result-oriented culture and working for the well-being of the people. Together, Audit staff would tell the good stories of the civil service, the auditing profession and Hong Kong.
